Vermicomposting Workshop hosted by Paint Lick Sportsmans's Club Wednesday, August 5th, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Discover how to convert organic matter (food scraps and paper) into nature’s finest fertilizer. Find out how worms benefit the environment. During this workshop, vermicomposting is explained from set-up to harvest. This hands-on and fun activity demonstrates how worm harvesting can help to fertilize your plants while cutting down on household waste and conservation of water. Participants will meet the worms, construct their own mini-bin and learn how they can participate in nature’s organic recycling. The activity cost is just $20 for PLSC members or $30 for non-members. This cost includes a mini bin, starter colony of worms, and an owner’s manual. Bring a friend or family member along at no charge.
Location: Paint Lick Sportsman’s Club, 52 Hammock Alley, Paint Lick
Pre-registration is required. Call the PLSC president at 859-619-0334 to pre-register.
