Frog Gigging

Frog Gigging hosted by Paint Lick Sportsman's Club August 22nd, starting at 9 p.m.

Here’s the question: What could be more fun than slithering around muddy banks and getting filthy, staying up well past midnight, and playing with a flashlight? And the answer: frog gigging! This PLSC sponsored activity is an excellent what to introduce youth of all ages to the outdoors. Open to anyone 12 years of age or older, this activity is free. Youth under the 18 must be accompanied by a parent, or guardian over the age of 18. All participants need to bring is a gig, an inexpensive, multi-pronged fork available at most sporting goods stores that sell hunting and fishing licenses, nailed to an old broom handle, a flashlight and an onion sack. Participants should be prepared to wade into shallow weedy ponds and/or along the banks of Paint Lick Creek.

Participants will meet at the Paint Lick Sportsman’s Club, 52 Hammock Alley, Paint Lick at 9 p.m.
